BASKETBALL ACADEMY

Proformance Hawaii Basketball Academy is designed and intended for participants who are serious about improving their basketball 

In addition to the Weekly Skills Clinic on Sunday's, PROformance Hawaii offers Nalu Training, supplemental weeknight training for boys and girls ages 10 and above.  These intense 1-hour 30-minute training sessions are held at a shooting facility in Kakaako on Waimanu Street.

"Nalu" meaning wave in Hawaiian, Nalu Training features an intense 1-hour small group workout, consisting of two different stations:
Station 1 - Ball handling, agility, and finishing moves at the basket (30 minutes)
Station 2 - Shooting reps on the Dr Dish shooting machine (30 minutes)

Each group will consist of a maximum of 4 participants.  As the first group moves through Station 1 on to Station 2, the second group will begin on Station 1.  And so forth, creating a wave of groups through the workout, hence the name NALU TRAINING.

For the first 15 minutes, players will rep out various ball handling and agility drills, followed by 15 minutes of game-like finishing moves attacking the basket.  The last 30 minutes will be high volume shooting on the Dr Dish shooting machine, where each individual will get up an estimated 200-250 shots.

The purpose of Nalu Training is to maximize game-like repetitions in 1 hour of work.  Pushing our bodies to be uncomfortable is the only way to truly push ourselves to new heights, thus unlocking our true potential.  Every week the workout will be changed and modified.

Each Friday, the weekly schedule for the following week will be released via email.  The registration is on a first come first serve basis.
